FAQs

What are your credentials?

I earned my BA in Psychology from Pacific Lutheran University in 2011. I earned my General Nutrition Certification and my Sleep, Stress Management, and Recovery Certification through Precision Nutrition - one of the largest and most respected private nutrition coaching and education organizations in the world. I also earned my Pre and Postnatal Coaching Certification through Girls Gone Strong - a premier evidence-based and women-specific education organization. I am currently deepening my knowledge in Oh Baby’s Holistic Nutrition program specializing in fertility, pregnancy, postpartum and baby’s first foods.

What does working together look like?

It may be different for everyone! But I always start with getting to know you through a detailed intake to understand your history, lifestyle, and where you need support. From there we I’ll create a personalized plan with actionable steps, nutrient priorities, and ongoing support so you feel cared for and confident every step of the way.

Do I get a meal plan or follow a specific diet?

I don’t provide rigid meal plans—instead, I help you understand what and how to eat in a way that feels doable and satisfying. We will talk about key nutrients for general health and for where you are in your individual journey, as well as nutritional balance so that you feel confident picking the best foods to nourish yourself and your baby. Rather than tell you what to eat, I want you to learn how to feed yourself, and your little one, well.

Is this approach compatible with specific diets or preferences?

Yes—we’ll work within your preferences, sensitivities, and values while making sure you’re still meeting your nutritional needs.

What about morning sickness and food aversions?

There may be times when the goal is just to get through the day, or to simply keep something down, and thats ok! There is absolutely room for difficult days, cravings, and indulgences, but pregnancy does not have to just be about surviving morning sickness. The important thing is to be intentional and do what you can when you can so that you and your baby can thrive!

What if I just want a one-time session to ask questions?

That’s an option! You can book a one-time consultation if you’re looking for clarity or a starting point without ongoing coaching.

What if I’m already pregnant—when should I start working with you?

Anytime! It’s never too late to start. The earlier we begin, the more we can tailor your nutrition and support to each trimester’s changing needs—but if you’re already pregnant, we’ll simply meet you where you are and build from there.

Do you help with postpartum recovery even if I’m months or years past birth?

Yes! Postpartum recovery doesn’t have an expiration date. Whether you’re six weeks or two years out, your body can still benefit from targeted nourishment, hormone support, and nutrient replenishment.

Do I have to live close to work with you?

Not at all! Intake and check-ins can be done over the phone or through email.

How can I be confident this will benefit me?

Like anything else, you get out of this what you put into it. This isn’t an overnight process. Learning to understand your body’s needs takes time, but you (and your baby) are worth the time it takes!
